As we step into this new month of February, I want to take a moment to thank you—yes, YOU—for believing in my dream. If you had told me four years ago, when I left my corporate job, that I’d be here today with a 3-time award-winning skincare brand now available in three countries outside of Africa, I would have said, “NO WAY!” But here we are, and I’m so grateful.

When I left corporate, I didn’t have all the answers, but I knew one thing for certain: my purpose was to heal. There was this deep, unshakable knowing that my journey would be about healing—not just for myself, but to share that healing with the world and be of service to those around me. And that’s exactly what Dewdrop Skincare has become—a space for connection, care, and radiance.

For those who are new here, I’m Rish Reddy, the founder of Dewdrop Skincare. I started formulating during the pandemic, juggling my passion project with a full-time job. I was incredibly fortunate to have a mentor and manager who saw my potential and encouraged me to step into something bigger. He believed in me even when I wasn’t sure of myself, and today, I strive to lead our small team with that same transformative energy. It’s a full-circle moment, and I’m so proud of how far we’ve come.

This past weekend, I had one of those moments that just stops you in your tracks. I was in the garden, watching my little girl, Sonalia, and my wonderful husband, Duran, play with a soccer ball. Every few seconds, Sonalia would let out this belly laugh—the kind that’s so pure and joyful it feels like it’s lighting up the world. In that moment, I thought, This is it. This is what pure love and happiness feel like. It was a reminder of what truly matters—the connections we nurture and the love we share.

It got me thinking about how, despite living in a world that’s more “connected” than ever, many of us still feel isolated. I want to change that. I want to connect with you—not just as customers, but as people with stories that are beautifully and intricately woven into who you are.

Last week, a customer walked into our office and asked if our products could “fix” a deep wrinkle. I smiled and said, “Why? That’s beauty. That’s character.” At Dewdrop, we’re not in the business of defining beauty. We’re here to help you radiate your beauty—because every line, every scar, and every wrinkle tells a story. Why are we so afraid to age? With age comes wisdom, experience, and LIFE. And what a blessing life is.
