My Dearest Dewdrop Family
We just returned from a trip to Thabazimbi—just Duran, Sonalia, myself and the African bush. No cell service. No noise. Just us and creation. And it was everything.
There's something that happens when you step away from the chaos and stand in front of landscape like that—ancient mountains, endless sky, the kind of silence that only reminds you how loud everything else has been. You remember that the same God who sculpted those mountains, who painted those sunsets, who knows every star by name—He made you. He made me. He made each of us with a purpose. And that's the thing nobody tells you: the sooner you figure out your purpose, the sooner you can actually get to work fulfilling it.
When you strip away the noise
I came back from that trip fundamentally shifted. Not because we had some perfect vacation. But because we were present to each other in a way that has become rare. We weren't curating. We weren't performing. We were just living.
And something clicked, everything I've been building with Dewdrop, everything that has kept me going through this pregnancy, through the anxiety, through the hard seasons—it all comes back to this. To purpose. To knowing that my choices matter. That how I care for my body matters. That how I care for my family matters. That the time I spend with the people I love, matters.
We are expecting our second child. The journey has been brutal—the physical toll (I have been diagnosed with Hyperemesis Gravidarum), the emotional weight of carrying life in an uncertain world. But standing in that landscape with my family, I felt held by something bigger than the fear. Not in a way that makes the fear disappear, but in a way that makes it mean something.
The 14-Day Reset: Before Spring
This is why I'm so excited about the 14-Day Reset Challenge we're launching before spring. Because it's not just about skincare. It's about getting back to purpose.
Here's what I want you to know: no serum or no topical product will transform your skin if you're living disconnected from your purpose. If your gut is inflamed from stress. If you're sleeping poorly. If you're consuming products filled with microplastics and surrounded by endocrine disruptors. If you're constantly comparing yourself to everyone else instead of asking: What am I actually here to do?
The Reset starts from within. We're talking about tonics—simple, ancient ingredients like olive oil, turmeric, salt. The kind of things our ancestors knew healed us from the inside out. But more than that, we're talking about ritual. Do you know what a ritual is? It's not a routine. A routine is something you do on autopilot. A ritual is something you do with presence. With intention. With love. Every morning, my darling husband prepares my tonic. The same ingredients. The same care. And when he hands it to me, I feel held. I feel seen. I feel like someone believes in my healing enough to show up for it consistently. That's a ritual.
We want to invite you into this for 14 days. To use what you already have in your home. To slow down. To prepare something for yourself—or for someone you love—with the kind of care that says: I believe my health matters. I believe our family's health matters.
Building community around what's real
I've also been thinking a lot about community. We talk about it constantly, but what does it actually mean? I think it means showing up for each other when the world is trying to divide us. It means being willing to get real about what we're struggling with. It means reading the same books, asking the same hard questions, and supporting each other through the messy middle bits.
And Johara—our Rituals Concierge—she's here for all of this. Not just to answer questions about serums and moisturisers, but to listen. To support. To remind you that you're not alone in whatever you're carrying. She's available on WhatsApp (061 629 4886) or you can reply here.
An invitation
As we move out of winter, out of this troubled season, I want to invite you into something different. A life built on purpose. A community built on trust. If you're in—if you want to join the 14-Day Reset, if you want to be part of this conscious living space, if you want to show up for yourself and your family with intention—let us know. Send us a message. Tell us you're ready.
Thank you for being part of this. Thank you for letting me share this journey with you—the messy parts, the sacred parts, all of it. We're going to get through this together. And we're going to do it on purpose.
With deepest gratitude and love,
Rish
P.S. — If you're ready to join the 14-Day Reset or the conscious living community, reach out to Johara on 061 629 4886 or reply here. We're saving a space for you.
