Empowered in Energy, Aligned in Purpose: Reflections from EmpowHER 2025

Last week, I had the privilege of attending the Standard Bank Top Women EmpowHER 2025 Conference in Gauteng — and I don’t say this lightly when I call it transformational.

From the moment I stepped into the room, it was clear: this wasn’t just another business event. It was a gathering of powerful, driven, resilient women — each carving their own path and creating space for others to rise alongside them.

The morning began with a powerful keynote from Yael Geffen, CEO of Sotheby’s — a woman who doesn’t just enter a room, she owns it with grace and presence. Her message was clear and deeply resonant: authenticity is not a weakness — it’s a strategy. In a world that often rewards perfection, she reminded us that being real is what truly builds trust, drives growth, and creates meaningful connection.

Later in the morning, I found myself completely captivated during the Fireside Chat with Busi Selesho — an internationally accredited money coach and speaker who brings a unique perspective to the conversation around wealth and leadership.

We didn’t just talk numbers — we explored the emotional and energetic relationship we hold with money. It was a grounding moment, a reminder that how we feel about our worth is often mirrored in how we price, pitch, and position ourselves in business.

But what truly struck a chord with me was the conversation around spirituality in business — the idea that your business isn’t just a brand, it’s an energetic extension of who you are. When we align our values, intuition, and purpose with how we show up professionally, we don’t just create success — we create impact with intention.

As someone building a legacy brand rooted in ritual, heritage, and heart, it was a powerful affirmation that there is space — and strength — in leading from within.

One quote that stayed with me: “Empowered women empower women. And empowered businesses empower economies.”

At Dewdrop, we carry this spirit in everything we do — from our product formulation to the partnerships we nurture. Attending EmpowHER reminded me that building something meaningful isn’t just about products — it’s about people.

If you're building something beautiful, bold, or brave —know this: you’re not alone. There’s space for you at the table, and if there isn’t? Let’s build a new table together.
